Interview with Charley, a Shades of Green manager, reveals some of the key trees for a fantastic backyard.

First would be Burr Oaks and Chinkapin Oaks. More unusual trees to spark up a backyard look are Gingko Biloba Trees, and for a native with more color, Rusty Blackhaw Viburnum will do the trick. Another rare find with more color is the Mexican Buckeye. This one is fairly hardy and also drought-tolerant.

These trees range in style from traditional Texan-looking to exotic. Trees can be used for decoration, shade-bearers, fruit or flower production, and entertainment. Make sure they are planted well so they can thrive well!
